This year Shelley and I spent Thanksgiving in Houston with my mom, dad, brother and his fiancee. Mom and dad just bought a new house near their country club, so it was time to break in the new appliances!
Who said I couldn’t cook???

In the Clark household… the ladies RULE!

Mom and Dad try to figure out the new microwave. Sigh…

True to the Clark tradition, mom carefully extracts the stuffing. Yummy!

Dad poses with Tom (the Turkey)…

Let the carving begin!!!

Here’s what it looked like from Jakes view… Goood boy Jake!

Family (minus me) at the table!

Mom takes over on camera duty…

This year’s Thanksgiving was our best yet. It was great to see David and Robin, as they flew in from St Louis, and was very cool to kick off the next generation of holiday celebrations at mom and dad’s new home in Hearthstone. Can’t wait for next year… maybe by then I won’t be so stuffed!!

Family, Holidays
On Monday morning, David Weekley’s engineering company approved our sub-floor, so today the first floor is beginning to take shape! It’s amazing how much these guys can accomplish in just a few hours.
Here’s what it looked like this afternoon…

And this is my new favorite view…

Here’s a sequence of pics to get you up to speed.
Beginning with open lot and ending with first floor framing.

Construction
During our week 20 visit to the Dr’s office (back in October), Shelley and I were able to see our little baby girl up close. The ultrasound records the echos of soundwaves to produce a 4D image. Technology today is so amazing. I’m trying to get the blog up to date, so we’re on week 23 as I type!
Here you can clearly see that she is looking at her analog watch (yeah, already knows how to tell time), and is calculating how much longer to go…

We are fairly certain she knew we were watching and waved to the camera…

Being a baby is exhausting work, so a quick pose before getting some sleep…

Baby Avery
Shelley and I thought it would be fun to post pics of her belly as it tries to hog the camera. Here’s a bunch of pics to kick off the first official bump watch!
