This past weekend we had some belly time with Avery. She just passed the 6 week mark and is starting to hold her head up high. It’s amazing to see how far she has come in such a short period of time. Her little legs are strong enough that she will push herself across the crib on her back.
With some help from mommy, Avery can almost support her upper body using her arms…
and the head is all her!

Avery likes to joke about gravity not being her friend… She’s very mature for a 6 week old.

After a long day of working out, I like to kick back with my pops… He’s one cool dude.

Insert cute headshot to complete the post…

The Clark family converged at our house for Easter this year. My last post covered little Ms Avery’s Easter photo shoot, so here’s a follow up with family pics. My brother David (Uncle Dave!) flew in from St Louis, while mom and dad brought all the Easter fixins over to our house for dinner. It was great to have the entire Clark side of the family together under one roof, and even better to see Avery in the family pics!
Yup… Avery knows daddy’s a sucker!

Here’s the Clark side of the family… PLUS ONE!

Uncle Dave meets his niece for the very first time! Dave wasn’t able to make it down from St Louis before she was born, so it was really special for the family to see them together. Careful Dave… don’t break her!!!

Three Clark boys… and girl!

Proud papa! Ain’t she cute???

Avery has super human strength, and is actually holding Grandma up off the ground… Ok not really, but check out her super tiny hand holding Grandma’s finger!

Grandma Clark played horsey with Avery most of the day, and when they got tired it was time to cuddle.

Grandpa Clark made Avery a special Easter egg decorated with her name. He was very proud of his creation so we had to take a few pics. Unfortunately, Avery wasn’t cooperating at the time, and was way more interested in practicing for American Idol.

But at the end of the day, Grandpa got the upper hand and managed to knock Avery out cold.

What a great weekend and excellent Easter dinner. Avery’s very first holiday was so much fun. What’s next on the calendar???
Baby Avery, Family
We had lots to celebrate over the holiday weekend. Avery turned 1 month old on April 11, and this was her first Easter Sunday! Of course mommy had to help pick out the perfect pink Easter dress, and Avery was quite pleased.
Especially since the Easter Bunny left lots of stuff…

A serious pose for the camera…

I call this her “monkey” face, but mommy calls this her “feed me now or else” face.

Yeah, I’m really not sure what she’s doing here… but too cute not to post.

Perfect pink socks for the perfect pink dress…

And of course they have to say something fun on the bottom…

Sorry for not posting sooner, but this has been a busy week! Lot’s more family pics to come.

As promised, and without futher adieu… Bow pics!!! I’m guessing the clothes will fit at some point, but for now we’re going with the baggy look. It’s her first fashion statement.
She’s cute when she’s sleeping… but don’t let that fool you!

Just over a week ago (the day after Avery turned 2 weeks old), I had to travel to Silicon Valley on business. This was our “big test” to see how the girls did while daddy was gone. Fortunately, Grandma and Grandpa Clark came over to help out, so they brought dinner and helped entertain the little one!
