Happy Halloween 2010!

October 31st, 2010

This year we celebrated Avery’s 2nd official Halloween with friends and family. A group of us met after dusk and we walked both sides of the street with our little gremlins. Avery wasn’t exactly sure how to say trick or treat, but she was an expert at pulling candy from the dish!

Daddy got to pick the theme this year and of course it had to be something SUPER!

All the evil villains in the world better WATCH OUT!

Before the trick-r-treaters came looking for candy, Avery sat with Mamaw on the front porch. Super Girl dediced to show off her special powers and put her hand in to the (fake) fire. No children or Mamaws were harmed in the making of this photo.

Super Momma showed off HER special powers and teleported herself in to Mamaw’s spot. Super Girl was stunned with amazement!

After the crew made it down to our house, the moms and daughters posed for a quick one before we hit the street…

And so did the dads…

Enough with the posed pics… Let’s get some candy!

I love this one…

Like takin’ candy from a baby…

After a successful night of trick-r-treating, Super Girl had a SUPER sugar high!

Shelley and I had a great time catching up with the Bazins and Sicinskis. It was fun watching the little ones do their thing!

Ealier this Halloween weekend, Shelley and I took Avery to Rees Potts’ 4th birthday/costume party. We had fun with Mark and Amy… and of course Avery LOVED the bounce house.

She also liked Rees’ scarecrow!

After the b-day party, we went for Avery’s second haircut. It’s tough to find a pair of scissors strong enough to cut hair of steel!

And earlier in the week, Avery’s grandpa was in town on business. We snapped a quick one of him and Super Girl.

That’s it for this Halloween! Hope everyone had a safe and spooky holiday!

Xmas PJ pics!

December 21st, 2009

It’s time for a holiday pajama-jammy-jam!!! We put up our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving and ever since, Avery has been fascinated by the lights. Mommy had a few extra Xmas pj’s on hand, so we grabbed some shots for the blog.

The very first time Avery went for the lights, she used her index finger to point (normally she grabs, so this was another baby first!)… And now she points at everything! :)

Tricks n Treats!

November 2nd, 2009

This year we celebrated Avery’s first Halloween in style with some awesome Raggedy Ann and Andy costumes. Avery didn’t mind getting dressed up, however, it took her a while to get used to mommy and daddy’s new look. After putting our wigs on in front of her (several times) she finally figured it out, LOL! We also had a great time celebrating with our new friends (and soon to be neighbors) Todd, Leslie and Lauren Bazin. Since their house was not finished yet, we invited them over for dinner and maybe some trick-r-treating on our street.

Avery’s expression says it all… ummmm who are you people?!?

Avery really liked the decorations we used on our front porch. Here’s her spoooooky face!!

This was a great shot with Todd and Lauren. We hung out on the front porch taking pics and talking to neighbors, and ended up missing our window to walk the street! The girls got super hungry so we made some bottles and also fired up the grill for the big people. Our house had a few trick-r-treaters this year, however, there’s a ton of candy left over!

One last pic of Avery and Lauren meeting for the second time. Lauren is 2 months older than Avery, so Aves got to see Lauren’s excellent crawling technique in action!

Thanksgiving 2008

November 28th, 2008

This year Shelley and I spent Thanksgiving in Houston with my mom, dad, brother and his fiancee.  Mom and dad just bought a new house near their country club, so it was time to break in the new appliances!

Who said I couldn’t cook???

In the Clark household… the ladies RULE!
Left to right: Mom, Shelley, Robin

Mom and Dad try to figure out the new microwave. Sigh…

True to the Clark tradition, mom carefully extracts the stuffing. Yummy!

Dad poses with Tom (the Turkey)…

Let the carving begin!!!

Here’s what it looked like from Jakes view… Goood boy Jake!

Family (minus me) at the table!

Mom takes over on camera duty…

This year’s Thanksgiving was our best yet.  It was great to see David and Robin, as they flew in from St Louis, and was very cool to kick off the next generation of holiday celebrations at mom and dad’s new home in Hearthstone. Can’t wait for next year… maybe by then I won’t be so stuffed!!
